Ideas are cheap. Execution is everything.
But even great execution on a bad idea leads to wasted time. Over the last five years, I've developed a ruthless framework for taking an abstract idea and turning it into a shipping product.
1. The 48-Hour Validation
Before writing a single line of code, create a landing page. Drive 100 targeted clicks to it. If you can't get 5 people to give you their email address for the promise of your product, the idea is dead. Move on.
2. The Scope Axe
Your V1 is too big. I guarantee it.
Take your feature list, cut it in half. Then take the remaining half and cut it in half again. The only thing that matters is the core loop: the one specific action that delivers value to the user.
3. Shipping is a Habit
Perfectionism is just procrastination in a tailored suit. Ship when it's slightly embarrassing. The feedback you get from a flawed product in the hands of real users is infinitely more valuable than the theories you debate in a vacuum.
